The 12 hour fundraising super-tournament took place at Les Quennevais Sports Centre in St Brelade, with 11 teams battling it out over a whole day in the sun.
Here are some key stats:
- 115 games were played
- 515 goals were scored at an impressive average of 4.5 per game
- Murder on Zindane’s Floor were the top scorers, notching an impressive 68 goals
- Real Sosobad boasted the meanest defence, conceding a miserly 24
- Champions Sports Bug became one of only a handful of Football Marathon teams to successfully defend their title the following year
The event raised £10,626, taking the 3-year total past the £25,000 mark. Huge thanks to everyone who took part and volunteered at the event, and to John Gamble for organising.
