Iringa Development of Youth, Disabled and Children Care is a non-profit organisation with its headquarters at Iringa Urban, and other offices in Ludewa, Njombe, Mufindi, Kilolo, Makete and Iringa rural.
IDYDC is aimed at improving life condition and effecting behaviour change in the Iringa region, targeting needy children (street children, orphans, school dropouts), youth aged 13-24+, and disadvantaged people throughout Tanzania through different programs.
Tackle’s current 2-year programme with IDYDC is funded by the BT Supporters Trust and aims to improve knowledge, attitudes and behaviour relating to HIV in young people at risk of HIV, and young people living with HIV. Over 100 coaches are delivering Tackle drills to over 2000 beneficiaries in four regions across Tanzania.
