Coaching for Hope

In August 2016, Coaching for Hope became part of Tackle. The two organisations now work as a single UK-registered charity under the single Tackle brand, sharing expertise and networks to offer even better support to young people affected by HIV and related sexual health issues in Africa.

Before becoming part of Tackle, Coaching for Hope was a project of Skillshare International.  Like Tackle, Coaching for Hope used football-based projects to support young Africans with health and empowerment outcomes.  Coaching for Hope worked mainly in West Africa, whilst Tackle focussed primarily on East and Central Africa, so the merger brings an increased geographic footprint as well as shared expertise.

Tackle’s programmes in Burkina Faso and Cote D’Ivoire are a legacy of Coaching for Hope’s work, and we maintain Coaching for Hope joint-branding locally in some projects.
