12 year old Maleah Quintana is a talented footballer, a budding mountaineer and a TackleAfrica legend!
On Saturday she climbed Britain’s highest mountain with her dad, completing the 1,345 metre ascent in under 5 hours – well below the average time at this time of year. Maleah has raised over £1,500 including Gift Aid for TackleAfrica – an incredible contribution which will help us support girls her age in Africa.
Maleah, who plays for Derby County, said:
“I chose Tackle Africa because they help and teach children and young people about HIV. They also help develop them to be sports people so they can later help coach other children. Other projects they work with fight against Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) and against Child Marriages. I love the work they do because all their teachings is using football drills and skills and I am a footballer.
I support everything that Tackle Africa works for, I really want to be involved with this charity and help them raise the money they need. I really hope a lot of people will support me help these children”
