Fondation Chanel is one of our biggest supporters, funding multi-year programmes in Côte d’Ivoire and Burkina Faso, where women are at high risk of teenage and early pregnancy, and Female Genital Mutilation. On those programmes, we are training football coaches to pass on health messages to their players, using our interactive and innovative football curriculum. It’s a programme of which we are rightly proud, and it was great to see a write up of our programmes on Fondation Chanel’s website recently. You can read all about our programme here: http://www.fondationchanel.org/en/?news_id=5293
Fondation Chanel is a fantastic organisation, with a mission “to improve the condition of women, regardless of their origin, age, nationality, or philosophical or religious beliefs, in order to provide a durable improvement to their standard of living and that of their community.” This is certainly a philosophy that aligns with our commitment at TackleAfrica to gender equality, and empowering young women and girls to take control of their Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights.
Merci beaucoup, Fondation Chanel!
