Our World AIDS Day 2021 Fundraising Schedule is Here!

3rd November 2021

Even after a brilliantly successful summer of events there is no time to rest, as the end of the year promises to deliver just as much in the way of fun as fundraising! With the 33rd World AIDS Day fast approaching on December 1st we have put together an exciting series of events to add to an already celebratory festive period – so, clear those calendars and get ready to help show your support!

Here’s what we have in store:

5k/10k Red Run – November 27th

To kick things off on November 27th is the Red Run, a 5k/10k charity run or walk round Victoria Park, London in support of HIV services. At the last Red Run in 2019 we had 15 runners taking part in support of TackleAfrica, who together raised an incredible £2000! This year we are looking for even more keen supporters to participate, and with the promise of live music and special guests this is more than just your average fun run.

We had 15 runners in 2019 raising over £2,000 for TackleAfrica

With a £20 entry fee that goes towards supporting vital HIV services in the UK, and any money raised beyond that going directly to TackleAfrica this is the perfect opportunity to help good causes both at home and abroad, regardless of whether you are a long distance runner or more a fan of a walk through the park!

For more information about the event and for links to register visit the Red Run Website here.

WAD/Christmas Quiz – November 30th

After the physical challenges it is time to put the mind to the test, as on November 30th we will be hosting a special World Aids Day pub quiz in London. Last year our supporters did a great job hosting their own online quizzes on behalf of TackleAfrica as we were all forced to go virtual for our celebrations, but this WAD we’re incredibly excited at the opportunity to get back together in person!

Our infamous After Eight Challenge…..

With the promise of good time and prizes to be won, what better way is there to have some lighthearted fun and drinks with mates all while lending your support to a great cause?

For those who are unfortunate enough to be unable to make it, keep an eye out for more information about quizzes planned in Brighton on December 7th and Oxford on December 9th, with more details on those to be announced soon…

For all the relevant information about the London quiz see the poster below or visit the Facebook event page here.

Salesforce 5-a-side Charity Tournament – December 2nd

In early December TackleAfrica are teaming up with Salesforce to offer up a unique event combining football, networking and fundraising that is perfect for our supporters in the corporate world. Whether your company has its own football team, you’re looking to build your industry connections with like-minded companies, or you just fancy a kick about and drinks with work colleagues, this is the event for you!

From lunchtime into the evening at Powerleague Shoreditch, this event promises to be a fundraising celebration and thanks to the kindness of Salesforce all the money raised at this event will go directly to supporting TackleAfrica’s work in providing sexual health and HIV education across Sub Saharan Africa. So there’s never been a better chance to combine work, play and helping to make a difference in the world!

If you want to register your interest or if you have any further questions about the event then don’t hesitate to contact .
