TackleAfrica & The International Safeguards for Children in Sport Initiative

5th August 2020

London – August – 2020

TackleAfrica is a proud member of the International Safeguards for Children in Sport initiative!

It is every child’s right to be safe during sport, and it is every organisation’s responsibility to
protect them. One incident of abuse in sport is one too many.

Sport is essential to children’s
development and well-being – but only if there are safeguards in place to protect them.We understand that for many, the COVID-19 pandemic has sidelined activities.

“When it’s safe for sport, make it safer for sport.”

Keep an eye on our social media channels on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter for a countdown to the Safer Sport Day on the 8th August.

Today marks the World Day of Social Justice🧑‍⚖️ Our projects have taken on various social issues and are carried out by a particularly diverse workforce that we are extremely proud of ✊ #LGBTQ 🏳️‍🌈 #BLM 🖤 #WomenEmpowerment ♀️ #DisabilityAwareness ♿️ pic.twitter.com/Dttc…

Amid COVID-19, coaches of our 'Levelling the Field' project - educating young women and girls in Malawi - were forced to stop group sessions⚽️ We took to the airwaves, with our partner @yonecofm, to continue giving out SRHR/HIV information ℹ️ #InternationalDayofRadio📻 pic.twitter.com/UToa…

this article provides an excellent insight into our programmes in partnership with @LaureusSport and Hoima Network of Child Rights Clubs (HONECRIC)👇 twitter.com/LaureusS…
